Hemmingson Center Opens at Gonzaga University

The new Hemmingson Center opening was announced by the Spokesman-Review this month. John J. Hemmingson, a trustee of the university and the founding partner of Lakeside Companies, a corporate private equity firm, is the main benefactor.

Chuck Faulkinberry, Hemmingson Center Director, says this 167,726-square-foot center is “really a game changer for the university…It’s really going to increase the student experience…There really isn’t a building like this anywhere else in Spokane.” The student center, which includes The Bulldog Pub, the Zag Wall for writing messages, 20,000 square foot of meeting space, and much more, will be in full operation by August 27, with an official dedication ceremony set for October 16.
