Founder & General Partner, Lakeside Capital Group
John is a champion of the Inland Northwest and has worked to improve quality of life for its residents while also helping to build a vibrant economy in the region. As Lakeside Capital Group’s founder, his extensive business career includes work on mergers, public offerings, startups and spin-offs. With the founding of Lakeside in 1997, John has created a diverse portfolio, enabling the addition of meaningful jobs to the region while attracting industry and serving as a leader in the business community. John is currently the CEO of Architerra Homes and CEO of ATC Manufacturing.
Philanthropy and volunteerism are significant aspects of John’s life and part of the culture he has developed at Lakeside. From sustainable economic investments in our region, to supporting community development through education and advocacy, as well as a position on the Gonzaga University Board of Trustees, John’s vision for Lakeside is one that invests time, energy and resources to see our communities thrive.
In 1974, Tom founded a business management firm that today serves the interests of a diverse range of businesses, including funeral homes located in seven Midwestern states. As an entrepreneur, he has been involved in several start-up ventures, hospitality concerns and real estate developments.

With over a decade of real estate experience, Melissa’s key areas of expertise are in land acquisition, land development, product design and marketing of residential communities. A Partner in Lakeside, Melissa is also President of the Kootenai County Land Company. The company evaluates and partners with world-class consultants to build stand out communities. Additionally, Melissa manages large, high value residential projects across the Region. The most recent projects are in the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana.
As a partner in Lakeside, Melissa also assists with operational oversight of the parent company, including the creation of company policies, real estate contract negotiations and team recruitment. Previously, Melissa spearheaded the start-up of Architerra Homes, a home building company based out of Coeur d’Alene, ID, and served as the company’s President. Melissa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Cum Laude, from Arizona State University.
Partner, Lakeside Capital Group
Jerry provides financial oversight across Lakeside and our operating companies. He is responsible for improving and overseeing finance & accounting, treasury (including debt refinancing) and risk management processes. Jerry coordinates with external auditors and tax consultants across the Lakeside portfolio. Our operating companies benefit from better financial decision-making through Jerry’s budgeting and planning programs, as well as his implementation of new technology systems. Prior to joining Lakeside, Jerry was with Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) where he held several positions, including Director of Internal Reporting and International Controller. Jerry holds an MBA from Gonzaga University and a BS in Accounting from the University of Idaho. He’s actively involved in the Spokane community and currently serves on the Dean’s Business Forum Board for Gonzaga University’s School of Business Administration.
Partner, Lakeside Capital Group
Ben supports the investment research, financial analysis, contract negotiations and private equity activities of Lakeside and its operating companies. Ben has helped portfolio companies develop better internal pricing models and financial forecasts. Additionally, Ben manages Lakeside’s concentrated portfolio of public equities. Prior to joining Lakeside Capital Group, Ben was a financial analyst for multiple hedge funds, focusing on equity as well as distressed credit investments. Ben received his MBA from Columbia Business School as a member of the Value Investing program, and a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia. He is passionate about education and has been a mentor, reviewing student projects at Gonzaga University and Columbia Business School.
Partner, Lakeside Capital Group & President, Reliable Industrial Group
A Partner in Lakeside, Jason provides executive leadership to portfolio companies and is currently the president of Reliable Industrial Group (RIG). Over his career, Jason has delivered consistent financial returns through organic growth, as well as mergers and acquisitions across various domestic and international industries, including agriculture, financial services, education, medical devices, technology, commercial real estate and industrial services. He earned a BA in communications from the University of Iowa and is also a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program.
Manager, Century Farms
Ross is a fourth-generation farmer who has managed our growing farm portfolio since its inception. He has tripled cost saving measures within our operations, while balancing a commitment to farming practices that promote long-term sustainability of the land. Ross has enabled Lakeside to grow from 3,200 acres in 2011 to approximately 18,000 acres today. He graduated from Washington State University with a BA in Business Administration / Management Information Systems in 2002 and has a certificate in Geographic Information Systems.
President, ATC Manufacturing
Jason leads Lakeside’s aerospace manufacturing operations as President of ATC Manufacturing, where he coordinates manufacturing activities to produce over one million thermoplastic composite components annually. Jason brings extensive operational leadership and management experience gained from a twenty-seven-year career in the United States Marine Corps that included twenty years as a naval aviator, head of aviation budget and squadron commanding officer. Jason holds an MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School and a BS in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Idaho.
Angie has been part of the Lakeside team for over 15 years, where she manages a wide range of new ventures. Her diverse project portfolio includes spearheading successful virtual education programs, online store development, e-learning, and a medical office startup. Angie also oversees Lakeside’s commercial real estate properties in Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls and Pullman, as well as Zi Spa in Coeur d’Alene. She is also the Human Resources Manager for Lakeside and multiple operating companies. She is an active liaison to numerous philanthropic efforts throughout our community and serves on the Project Beauty Share Board. Angie graduated with honors from Washington State University, earning her BA in Communications.
Gabe Gallinger, P.E.
Land Development Manager
Gabe brings over 20 years of experience residential, commercial, and municipal engineering to Lakeside. He is responsible for managing all aspects of our residential and commercial developments including platting, design, budgets, and construction management. Gabe work closely with local municipalities, consultants, and contractors to ensure our projects are successful. Previously, Gabe worked with the City of Spokane Valley as the Development Services Manager. As the direct supervisor for the Planning and Development Engineering Divisions he was responsible for overseeing all commercial and residential land development applications within the City and was committed to providing excellent customer service. Gabe holds a Professional Engineering license in Washington and Idaho and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Washington State University.
CFO, Hemmingson Farms & Century Farms
Reilly is CFO of Hemmingson Farms and Century Farms at Lakeside. He handles the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, fixed asset management, reconciliations and reporting and analysis of financial information. Reilly graduated with a double major in Accounting and Finance from Gonzaga University. He earned his CPA in August of 2019.
Josh is a Senior Accountant and Financial Analyst at Lakeside. His primary focus is the day-to-day accounting operations of the companies within Lakeside’s real estate portfolio. Josh has assisted with system rollouts, as well as the implementation of critical processes and procedures that help drive growth and scalability. Josh has a BBA in Accounting from Gonzaga University and earned his CPA in 2017.
Claudia is Lakeside’s Executive Administrator. Claudia has over 40 years of administrative experience supporting executive management teams in corporate finance, tax, treasury, internal audit, external reporting, internal reporting, and investor relations. She holds an AA in English from Bellevue Community College.
